  • Toolbars to handle rough and rugged conditions;
  • Lightweight systems to go on the back of robotics;
  • Kits to allow WEED-IT to mount to both trailing and self propelled sprayers; and
  • Brackets to support mounting WEED-IT to toolbars growers already own but are not utilising.

  • Why are WEED-IT's highly suitable for spot spraying?

    WEEDit spot sprayers become popular due to the chemical savings that they offered growers while spraying in fallow situations.  Aside from the chemical savings, we also found a tool that could be used to control hard to kill and resistant weeds using multiple modes of action.  Some chemistries that were too expensive to use in blanket spray applications were proven to be magical at killing resistant weeds at high rates in targeted sprays.  WEEDit operates day and night, offers 25cm nozzle spacing, and can be effectively run at speeds up to 25km/h

  • How many WEED-It Sensors will I need?

    Each sensor controls 4 nozzles on 25cm spacing at a space of 1m apart along the boom.  We try to match up with planter widths to stay on CTF tracks and find a width that matches the customers expectations of efficiency and expense.

  • Is this implementation ideal for every situation?

    Since there are several platforms now available for WEEDit applications, growers can look at widths from 8 to 48m and even autonomous platforms if they don’t want to spend more time in a tractor or are finding difficulty finding and retaining staff to do the spraying for them.

  • Can the system be built onto any type and brand of ground glider & trailed sprayer?

    With reason, we can fit to almost any platform currently available.  As long as we have a good stable platform and a moderately straight boom to start with, we can find a way to get the WEEDit system installed.  We often replumb the boom to suit and with a sensor weight of just over 600 grams each, we aren’t adding an incredible amount of weight.

  • What is the maximum width the WEED-IT System can be built on?

    Width of up to 48m can be achieved, although paddock conditions and amount of obstacles may limit the achievable width.  With new features like PWM spray control, section control and mapping, it is allowing us to work with growers to achieve better results in more spray applications each season.
